We had a ride on Tuesday – we were a little latestarting because Marc Moore got a flat. We run Westhaven and just about rode into Mike Davies and Conrad on the corner by the bridge. They were the sole 2 riders on TFT until we ran into them. Fun short ride though.
I keep it fixed on this blog generally but Senor “Champ” Alberto Contador has been quoted getting pretty openly raw on Lance Armstrong on all the main media over the last day. Pretty intense stuff.

Bluebird weekend. It was amazing to have the sky open up again after that heavy winter spell. We got a pretty decent ride in too.
We saw a few friendly new faces out there riding – it was cool. Jeff rode the whole 50km shore loop by himself then came and met us- animal. We ended up riding back in to Newmarket and went to see Frank. We hung out in Qubic and played some guitar hero Metallica in the Quarters offices:

Frank’s pair of Hypebeast Adidas collab riding shoes. They look pretty good- smooth on the front vamp and no bits to catch on your toe straps. The reflective panels under the suede are a cool touch:

I’m of the optimistic view that Spring will be coming early because winter has been particularly intense and started early. I’m hearing a bit of this in the news.
Mike over legs it on a 20″ – We were at the Zombie Hop contest on Saturday. It was rad – not just bunny hops (highest was 39 inches) - there was a quarter to tail stall that was seeing kids popping off a 3 foot quarter and almost hitting the roof 10 feet up.

Jeffrey Whiteford unveiled some new ink on Saturday – I just about fell over when I saw it. He had some time on his hands and got to sit down with Dean from Sacred. Jeff – you rule. That is dedication, I’m so stoked. Mike Lawrence and I immediately got ink envy and wanted to go straight out and get some. Jeff is also the Chief Administrator and Logistics Manager for Steady Rollin, I’m going to have to put him on the company register and start paying him in something other than stickers. He also got some more ink on his hands to mark being Edge for 11 years and counting:
Jeff is nothing of not dedicated to everything he does, so it’s not surprising really.
I recently built up a bike for my mate Graeme Murray. He does alot of photography for my events – he shot Eye in the Sky from the heli. He’s an MTB’er and has been riding single speed MTB’s for a long time and wanted to ride fixed. He’s based in Rotorua- check the geothermal shots!
