Road reunion.

For the first time in longtime Danger (who has lived in Sydney for many years now) Jeff and I rode together here in Auckland on Sunday. I have lived in both Sydney and Auckland over the last 5 years and currently live split between the two. I have recently been riding with Danger in Sydney a bunch but it was cool to have the band back together here in Auckland.

Danger quickly made himself at home at the new iBike coffee window making his own coffee. That skeptical look on Darren’s face was well justified! I opted for a Coke after tasting Dan’s coffee.

The return of TFT!

Whilst the majority of the riding the crew do is on road bikes these days, with the arrival of Spring there’s definitely an itch to get out on the track bikes again and have some fun. There’s no better way to spend a Tuesday night than TFT.

We’re still out here….

ROLLIN’ REVIVAL

Many many moons ago, this used to be a thriving little page with regular weekly content and an excited bunch of busy beavers pedaling and pushing to make Steady Rollin’ something fun for people to be part of.

Since then I moved to Sydney and so did Justin. Justin has since moved back and the guys are close together and rolling again. I figured it would make sense to pass on the keys to the blog to Justin, Mike and Jeff to resuscitate the blog and get things rollin’ again.

Things are different now- people have grown, got busy, got married, had babies, changed jobs, or avoided jobs entirely to become self employed entertainment tycoons, but we are all still the same. I roll on 4 wheels more than two, and Justin and Jeff are riding road bikes more, Mike is still the Semi Pro BMX’er and all are sporadic fixed gear riders.

Whatever happens I know it will inspire me to ride more here across the ditch, and chirp in occasionally. I sure miss everyone back in NZ I got the chance to ride with over the years.

T.WHITE Visits from Across the Ditch

How rad is this guy?? It was awesome to see Tim White grace our sunny shores last week. While over he hooked up and went for a rip around town with Mr Sweeney.

We may have had a few foamy beverages at some stage also.

It’s been a while..

Kuwahara’s were sweet. Found these two on the streets of Sydney. There has been a total drought on the blog since I moved to Aussie.

I miss the crew. Justin has been going back to Auckland riding a bit with the guys. We made a pact yesterday to ride more here. It’s been pretty busy.

Jenna held her own in Paris, beat all the ladies and made it through the qualifiers into the dual rider pursuit. Said it was a bit full on and offputting racing another person on the track, still killed it.
